Children of all ages are invited to the Luther College Future Music Educators Association's production of "The Remarkable Farkle McBride," at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, in the Jenson-Noble Hall of Music Orchestra Room on the Luther College campus.
The event is open to the public with no charge for admission.
The family concert is based on the New York Times bestselling book "The Remarkable Farkle McBride," by John Lithgow. The concert will include a brief chamber music performance and hands-on activities. It will be followed by an instrument petting zoo.
The story follows young Farkle McBride, a musical genius who is on a quest to learn how to play more instruments despite having mastered several at a young age. The musical prodigy introduces readers to instruments and their sounds.
