Faculty Artist Series: Rachel Storlie, soprano

Luther College Music Department presents a faculty artist series featuring Soprano, Rachel Storlie, along with fellow faculty members Nicholas Shaneyfelt, piano, Philip Borter, cello, Carol Hester, flute and Michael Chesher, clarinet. Storlie notes that the program is mostly chamber works featuring Croatian art songs by Božidar Kunc and
Ivana Lang; "Primavera" for Soprano and Flute by Thea Musgrave and "As It Fell Upon A Day" for soprano with flute.

Rachel Storlie, soprano, hails from Spring Grove, MN. She holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Northern Iowa, and currently teaches voice at her undergraduate Alma Mater, Luther College in Decorah, IA. Recent recitals have featured works by John W. Duarte, Peter Lingen, Alban Berg, Désiré Pâque, Edvard Grieg, Agathe Backer-Grøndahl, Anne-Marie Ørbeck, Leonard Bernstein, and Ned Rorem.
