Hi all!
We are happy to announce that we have safely made it to Nottingham, England; and we had a great first day here!
We arrived at London Heathrow around noon London time which is about 6:00 am Decorah time. After getting through border control and collecting our luggage, we hopped on a 16 person bus and headed from London to Nottingham! After arriving in our flat we got to unload, unpack, and relax for a while. Then we had our first meal together as a group, which ended our first evening at the flat!
On our second day in Nottingham, we walked to the city center with our professors, Kathy and Martin. They showed us a few main attractions, including the famous Robin Hood statue. We then set off in small groups to explore local churches, bookstores, shops, and other landmarks. We have a long way to go before we feel like locals, but our first full day in Nottingham helped us get to know the city.
We’re settling into the flat, and soon we’ll be off on our first group trip! Stay tuned for updates about our visit to Stonehenge, Avebury, and other amazing sites.
Signing off,
Kelli and Libby
