Preus Library's annual National Library Week book sale will be held from Monday, April 14 to Tuesday, April 22. Hundreds of hardcover and paperback books will be available for purchase in the library. Prices decline daily. First day prices: $5/hardcover, $2/paperback.
A vulnerability in the technology encryption used frequently on the internet was discovered this week. Luther College took immediate action to patch the vulnerability throughout our infrastructure.

Update 7:00PM -- Our Mediacom Internet connection is now back up.
4/3/14 2:40PM -- Our Internet connection with Mediacom is currently down. This means that we have less Internet bandwidth than usual, and users will experience slow Internet service. Medicom technicians are aware of the problem and are working to solve it.
Applications are now being accepted for the Summer 2014 Faculty Workshop "Enhancing Student Learning Through Information Literacy and Technology" co-sponsored by the Dean's Office and LIS. The workshop will be held June 10-13, 2014, in Preus Library.
The User Services Team meets twice a month. The topics discussed at this week's meeting included: Break Update, KBOX and Music Support, Ergonomic Office Setups, Lynda.com, and Peep Diorama Entry.
