Phone Scam about your printer or copier

The Document Center was informed today that two different offices received a phone call asking about the copier in the office. The caller was requesting the brand and model number of the machines in the office. The phone numbers were blocked or restricted. Please do not give out any information about the machine in your office.

Tech Support Phone Scams

The LIS Technology Help Desk received notification today of tech support scammers calling campus and local numbers. These phone calls came in as restricted or blocked numbers. LIS wants to warn users to avoid sharing information with such callers.
