Our most recent graduate, Jessica (Sawdy) Ludwig (’14) finished her Individualized Interdisciplinary Major in French Linguistics in May 2014. She’ll be doing some post-baccalaureate work at the University of Florida (Gainesville) before applying for graduate school there next year.
Sarah Corfman (’13) completed her IIM in Comparative Linguistics in May 2013 and has been working for a variety of businesses in Decorah.
Ellen Amundsen (’13) has been admitted to the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s M.S. program in Speech-Language Pathology. She’ll start her studies in Fall 2014.
Marcelo Vieira (’12) has been putting his IIM in English Language, Linguistics, and Pedagogy to good use teaching English in a commercial English language school in São Paulo, Brazil. However, he is planning to return to the U.S. to start work on a PhD in linguistics in Fall 2015.
Robert Morris (’09) is still happily pursuing doctoral studies in Linguistics at the University of Iowa. At last report, he was due to finish his second comps paper in Fall 2014, after which he will be ready to start dissertating!
