After three flights and two taxi rides, we have made it to our hotel in Dubrovnik, Croatia. It is a balmy 55 degrees, and isn't getting dark as fast as in Norway, so we are some happy clams.
But don't let this talk of warm weather fool you. We still brought some of Norway with us. Kari Gronningsaeter, an instructor of Scandinavian Studies at Luther, and Oda, a student from the Nansen Academy, will be serving as our Norwegian embassadors as we continue our trip through the Balkans. Kari is going to be helping as a leader, and both are going to be wonderful additions to the group.
Tonight we are settling into our rooms and will soon meet for dinner. Honestly, after such a full day of travel (we left Oslo at 5 am!) I'm not sure we could handle much more. Besides, we have a great view of the sea from our rooms, so what's the point in leaving our beds anyway?
ps: I've been adding more pictures of Norway to the flickr page. http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/sets/72157639766750943/
