Free For All

After sleeping in a bit for the first time while on the trip, a few of us walked around the harbour to Old St. Paul's Cathedral which was a beautiful sight. The volunteers then pointed us to new St. Paul's Cathedral.

On the walk back to the hostel we were also fortunate enough to see the parliment building. The walk through the city and the buildings were breathtaking. While we were taking in this adventure, two of our group members partook in a Lord of the Rings bus tour.

After lunch we all met up at Oriental Bay beach, which was hopping. We finally got to watch a sport we understand, beach volleyball. A tournament was being held at the beach. Some of our group members tried their own hand at the daunting skill and peppered a bit. Dinner was accompanied by sore feet from the rough beach sand.

Speaking of dinner, the group collaborated and made a tasty taco dinner. The ladies of the group were kind enough to whip up some delicious tacos, spanish rice, and fresh guacamole.

It was a full day of sand and sunshine and the group is looking forward to the soccer match we will be attending tomorrow at Wespac Stadium.

It was a beautiful day at Oriental Bay beach!
