We are here and we have wifi!

After eight hours on a plane, crossing five time zones, and traveling 4,094 miles we landed in London at noon today! The temperature was a balmy 50 degrees and the sun was shining.

We took the tube to the Meininger Hotel, checked-in at 2:00, and rested until our group dinner at 4:30. Unfortunately, our hotel's wifi is down and we don't know when it will be working again (that's why it took so long to get this post up!). Blog posts may be spotty this week as I make time to find free wifi around the city.

At the oldest pub in Soho, Coach & Horses, we were served tea, scones, and sandwhiches for dinner in The Secret Tea Room.

Teapots of various sizes

At the Haymarket Theatre we saw an absolutely hysterical play called One Man, Two Guvnors. It had everyone practically in tears we were laughing so much! There was love, confusion, misunderstandings, lies, alliteration, and so much chaos! We'll have our first class meeting in the morning to discuss the show.

We are so glad to be here! Thank you for your patience as we work around the wifi troubles at our hotel. Keep up with our blog to hear about the days to come!
