The Final Blog Entry- Goodbye Cambodia!

This morning was used for some last minute enjoyment of beach time, as well as enjoying the nice weather. Some of us went to the beach for our final walks next to the ocean, while others enjoyed coffee and breakfast next to the pool. We left our hotel around 10:00am and made our trek to Phnom Penh, with a lunch break in the middle of the five hour trip. When in Phnom Penh, half of the group was dropped off at the Central Market for some last minute shopping and the other half roamed the city for free time. We met at pizza restaurant for a final group dinner. Then, we made our way to the airport to fly out at midnight and arriving in Seoul at 8:00am. At noon we leave for Chicago and arrive at 9:00am. We are longing a total of 48 hours of travel from leaving Sihanoukville to Decorah, but we are all excited to get to our own beds! Some of us have been joking that our trek homeward is like riding the Polar Express: on the way to the North Pole full of blizzard conditions and negative temperatures.

Through our experiences in Cambodia there are many things that have impacted our lives greatly. As we take this last leg home there are many memories that we look forward to sharing with our family and friends.

This is officially the last blog for our J-term trip in Cambodia!
