The Decorah Police Department posted this on their Facebook page a few minutes ago: URGENT NOTICE; Northeast Iowa is experiencing telephone complications due to unknown outages across the area. Phone calls made 911 are not getting through via landlines which could cause a delay if an emergency occurs. If you have an emergency, please use a CELL PHONE TO CALL 911. Cell phones are able to be picked up by the Decorah Police Department Communications Center. Please pass this information on to others who may not be monitoring our Facebook page. (Clarification, cell phone calls are able to be answered by Decorah police department. No actual cell phones are avaiable for use.)
