Microsoft Hands-on Lab

The hands-on lab for Microsoft’s BDD (Business
Desktop Deployment, now renamed to Microsoft Deployment) was held November
28-30 in Chicago. It covered Microsoft’s tools for
building/updating/customizing Vista images (many procedures apply to XP, also),
and OFFICE 2007. I was shown a new way to approach imaging that makes it much
more flexible to changes and updates that come up after an image is “set”. On the downside, it appears to me that some
knowledge about scripting these changes into the setup is required. For me,
this will take a bit of time to research.
