Lt. Col. E. Dovre “Bill” Gottschalk is survived by his three sons: Robert Gottschalk (Geraine), Richard Gottschalk and Donald Gottschalk (Deborah). Cherished grandfather of Nicklaus, Chad, Michael, Tammy (Greg Mitchell), DawnAnne (Nomar Bodon), Stacy (Jeff Williams), Sherlyn, Kathryn (Bradley Weniger), Matthew and Gretchen. Honored great grandfather of Samuel, Anne and Jase. His close friend Patricia Norris. He is preceded in death by his wife Neva Rae; his parents Mabel and Everett; his daughter-in-law Roxanne; his great granddaughters Elodie and Remy.
Bill proudly served in the United States Air Force for 30 years and retired at the rank of Lt. Col. He fought, bravely in World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War and was highly decorated; including receiving two bronze stars. He loved God, his family and his country. He faithfully worked all of his life and he always put others before himself.
II Corinthians 5:8 “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the lord.”
Even though Bill is no longer physically here with us, we have that blessed hope that he is in Heaven and we will see him again.
