Norse Mail - Attachment Failed

When attempting to add an attachment to a email, users will occasionally see a ‘Attachment Failed’ error message.

The reason for this is due to Google Apps change to a Flash based system for attaching files. Some browsers and Flash installs are not capable of handling this properly. Reverting to the Basic method for attaching files resolves the issue.


  1. Click on Settings and select General.
  2. Under Attachments, change to Basic.
  3. Refresh your Norse Mail window (Press F5)
  4. Attach file.
