"EVOLUTION" is the story of Minnie, Pammy and Mother coping with baffling changes brought on by a mysterious illness, the estrangement of two siblings and a mother's desperately hilarious attempts to protect her children. Taking the audience on a journey where past, present and future exist in the same time and space, the solo show asks the question, "How should we respond to change?"
Called "a moving, often funny, tale of how humans endure, evolve, and move on" by the Village Voice, "EVOLUTION" has been praised by several publications including the Associated Press, the Huffington Post, the Syracuse Post Standard and many more. "EVOLUTION" is consistently described as "lyrical and imaginative," "beautifully realized," "rife with hilarious humor" and "a tour de force performance."
Buckley is a founding member of Gams On The Lam, a theatre company which combines slapstick, satire and dance into each performance. She has toured and collaborated with the Spanish company Teatro K de Calle in creating spectacle and outdoor performance. She was a writer and performer with the Tony-award winning company Theatre de la Jeune Lune.
Prior to the performance, Luther is holding a Center Stage Dinner Series event. Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. in Peace Dining Room; tickets are $20 per person. Dinner tickets can be found online at http://www.tickets.luther.edu, or via the Ticket Office at (563) 387-1357 or [email protected].
