Children of all ages are invited to the Luther College Future Music Educators Association's second annual Family Concert. The concert is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, in the Jenson-Noble Hall of Music Orchestra Room on the Luther campus.
The event is open to the public with no charge for admission.
The family concert is based on the Caldecott Honor book "Zin Zin A Violin," by Lloyd Moss. The event begins with a short presentation including brief solo and chamber music performances as well as hands-on activities, followed by an instrumental petting zoo where young musicians in the audience will be able to try out a variety of band, orchestra and rock band instruments.
The story is an introduction to musical instruments and musical groups. Throughout the reading, Luther students will introduce readers to many instruments and their sounds.
