The Luther College Admissions Office is offering prospective students the opportunity to tour Luther and Decorah during the second of four Summer Preview Days Thursday, July 26, from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Registration is open until midnight Sunday, July 22, at https://tinyurl.com/previewdayjuly26. This visit provides prospective students with a total immersive visit to the campus, as well as the Decorah community.
Activities include an introduction to liberal arts and academics, an overview of the admissions and application process, campus tour, Q&A with current students, and research, study abroad and financial aid informational sessions. Lunch will be provided.
Following the event, families are encouraged to explore Decorah with a Luther community member as a guide. Possible activities include biking the Trout Run Trail, canoeing/kayaking the Upper Iowa River, climbing Luther's high ropes course, riding the Decorah Trolley to the downtown shops and participating in an interactive activity with a music professor. Nordic Fest, Decorah's annual celebration of Scandinavian heritage, food and culture, kicks off July 26, with the opening ceremonies at 6:45 p.m. at Decorah's Courthouse square and continues through Saturday, July 28. Overnight housing is available in one of Luther's residence halls. The cost is $22 per person, with linens provided.
