Vredenburg to present new works at Luther College

Hand-painted images created through the month of January

An art exhibit of hand-painted images on wood will be on display Feb. 5-March 21 in Preus Library on the Luther College campus.

The exhibit will feature the works of Zane Vredenburg, Graceland University associate professor of fine art. Vredenburg will create pieces for the exhibit over the month of January and present them publicly for the first time at Luther.

Vredenburg serves as the chair of the Visual and Performing Arts Division at Graceland University. He has worked for more than 15 years in the graphic/website design field as both a creator and an instructor, and has also contributed to more than a dozen art exhibits in the past decade.

His previous work as an assistant art director with Relationship Marketing, Meredith Corporation and garden.com had Vredenburg working on projects for Volvo, JC Penney, Sony and Better Homes and Gardens.

Vredenburg holds a bachelor's degree in graphic design and fine art from Grand View College in Des Moines, Iowa, and a master of fine arts degree in integrated visual arts from Iowa State University.
