Mixed-Media touring art show from CIVA

An art exhibit titled "Picturing the Parables" will be on display Sept. 1-Oct. 7 on the upper level of Center for Faith and Life on the campus of Luther College. This art display will include numerous works completed by 20 different artists who have visually interpreted Christ's parables. The exhibit is just one of many other exhibits that is sponsored by the organization Christians in the Visual Arts.

Stacey Barelos to present guest recital at Luther College Sept. 7

Stacey Barelos, Luther College alumna of 2000 and current assistant professor of piano and theory at Missouri Southern State University, will present a guest recital at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 7 in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson Noble Music Hall on the Luther campus.

Luther College music faculty will present a showcase concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2 in the Main Hall of the Center for Faith and Life on the Luther campus.The performance is the opening event of the 2012-13 concert season at Luther. It is open to the public with no charge for admission.

Buckets and Tap Shoes

Luther College SAC Diversity presents Buckets and Tap Shoes Aug. 31

Hailed by the New York Times as "Utterly brilliant," Buckets and Tap Shoes will perform Friday, Aug. 31 at 7:30 p.m. in Marty's CyberCafé, located in Dahl Centennial Union on the Luther College campus. The performance is presented by Luther Student Activities Council's Diversity committee.

Water Street Music Series opens on Luther's campus

Luther College will host the first event of the Water Street Music Series presenting local music group Done Doin' Laundry on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 7:30 p.m. at Bentdahl Commons on the Luther College campus. The concert, featuring special guests Simple Rogues, is open to the public with no charge for admission. Attendees are asked to bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on.
