Connor Hopkins ’21 knows what it means to be an active learner at Luther College—he’s been learning on Luther’s campus since the sixth grade. He spent five summers attending Dorian Music Camp, where he got to sing, play music, and engage with amazing faculty and counselors.
Fast forward to Connor’s first year at Luther, when he discovered the myriad ways you can learn across campus. His favorite class was Paideia, Luther’s interdisciplinary course that all first-year students take. Paideia is what prompted Connor to explore academic areas he hadn‘t considered before.
Connor started his Luther career as a chemistry major but also studied art, graphic design, and photography. He sings in choir and throws javelin for the track and field team. He is taking every opportunity to immerse himself in all areas on campus. And he’s found a passion for his new major, communication studies.
Donations to the Luther Fund impact hands-on learners like Connor by sustaining scholarships, music tours, well-equipped classrooms, and so much more.We are grateful for the over 9,000 alumni, family, and friends who support the Luther Fund each year.
