Submitting Artwork to Luther College Galleries

Artists may submit proposals for art exhibits at any time. Proposals normally include samples of work (via a web site or pdf), a resume/bio, and a short statement about the intended show. Submissions should be made via email. Before submitting, please explore the gallery's past exhibits in order to become familiar with the types of exhibitions shown at Luther College. Also be aware that these are intended primarily as exhibitions, rather than sales opportunities. We will let you know if your proposal is a good match for our program, but that may not happen right away. It can sometimes take a few years to cycle shows into the schedule. Patience is a virtue.

The Kristin Wigley-Fleming Gallery is a self-contained exhibition space with white (painted) gyp-board walls over plywood substrate that allows installation of works using nails, screws and/or pins.  It is also possible to suspend some types of work from exposed ceiling trusses.  One side of the gallery features a curved glass block wall next to a double-curved display wall that is suitable for the installation of small works.  The floor is hardwood laminate.  The gallery is equipped with track lighting.  A variety of open pedestals are available for use in this space, along with two portable glass display cases.
