Chicago artist Nicole Beck creates large-scale public and commissioned sculptures in steel, bronze, wood and glass. She holds an MFA from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb and since 2004 has served as treasurer on the board of directors for Chicago Sculpture International. Her numerous commissions and exhibitions include White River State Park, Indianapolis, IN; the Harold Washington Library, Chicago, IL; AIR Sculpture Exhibition, Roanoke, VA; the 7th Lakefront Sculpture Exhibit 2008, Lincoln Park, Chicago, IL; North Carolina Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition, Greenboro, NC; and PierWalk, Chicago, IL (numerous times). She has received grants from the City of Chicago and the Illinois Arts Council and her work has been included three times in Sculpture Magazine (2007, 2006, 2001) and in Ironwork Today: Inside & Out (Schiffer Books, 2008).
