DESCRIPTION:Luther College Opera Theater is proud to present a double bill featuring two distinct English-language works. \nThe program includes the tragic opera The Miller’s Daughter\, composed by Jodi Goble with a libretto by Victoria Erickson. Based on Franz Schubert’s song cycle Die schöne Müllerin\, this production brings a poignant narrative to the stage. \nPairing with this tragedy is Gian Carlo Menotti’s comic opera\, The Old Maid and the Thief. This opera buffa offers a comedic narrative that invites the audience to form their own conclusions about morality\, as each character’s perspective remains open to interpretation.” \nIn the weeks leading up to the performance\, tickets will be available at tickets.luther.edu.
