DESCRIPTION:Join Luther College Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams on Halloween\, 7–9:30 p.m. to kick off the 2025-26 basketball season! One team will play the first half of a basketball game and the other will play the second half\, with lots of fun in-between. There will be a student costume contest\, an exclusive look at the Norsetrotters\, a dunk contest\, cheer team will perform a routine\, and more. Spooky fun and hoops—don’t miss it!

SUMMARY:Silent Film with Guest Organist\, Matthew Gender
DESCRIPTION:Guest organist Dr. Matthew Gender returns to Luther College to accompany a showing of the 1927 silent film The Cat and the Canary\, starring Laura La Plante. The score for the classic film will be improvised on the Center for Faith and Life’s 49-stop Sipe pipe organ. Dr. Gender is the Director of Worship Arts at Zumbro Lutheran Church in Rochester\, Minnesota and has received prizes in the National Competition for Organ Improvisation (2016) and the University of Michigan Organ Improvisation Competition (2017). \nThe program is free to the public\, and costumes are welcomed and encouraged!
