Coe College defeated Luther in the final game of the year by a final of 26-7. The Kohawks jumped out to a 17-7 halftime lead and then held the Norse scoreless in the second half en route to the victory.
Luther tallied 248 yards of total offense, while Coe compiled 401. The Kohawks Tyler Dralle rushed for 113 yards on 32 carries. Quarterback Quentin White threw for 252 yards and two touchdowns. Place kicker Tristan Connell added field goals of 41 and 24 yards.
Luther's rushing attack was led by by Travis Vargas who carried the football eight times for 55 yards. Yassine Ouazzani was credited with 27, while Andrew Whalen and Ian Kuykendall rushed for 25 and 21 respectively.
Andrew Atkins threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Trevor Joiner with 2:42 left in the second quarter for Luther's lone score of the afternoon. Atkins looked like he was about to run a reverse and found Joiner wide open on the right side for the score.
Four Norse were credited with double-digit tackle totals. Patrick Beatty led all tacklers with 15. He was followed by Jordan Baker with 13, Jeremy Whalen with 11 and Bryce Neuse with 11. Dante Joseph was next with nine and was also credited with an interception.
Luther complete the 2018 campaign with an American Rivers Conference record of 1-7, 1-9 overall. Coe finishes its season 5-3 in teh A-R-C, 6-4 overall.
