Luther traveled to UW-Platteville tonight and was defeated by the Pioneers by a final of 76-61. The loss dropped Luther's overall record to 1-3. Platteville improved to 3-3.
The Norse struggled from the field tonight connecting on 38% of their attempts that included a 1-of-24 effort from behind the three-point line.
Laura Hamilton led all scorers with 17 and also collected a team best six rebounds. Hamilton was 7-of-8 from the field and 3-of-4 from the charity stripe. Sarah Holtz also tallied double digits producing 16 points.
Platteville had four players score double digits led by Caitlyn Tipton with 14. She was followed by Kassie Buchholz with 13, Lexis Macomber with 12 and Maiah Domask with 10.
Luther will begin American Rivers Conference play this Saturday afternoon when it will host Simpson College. Tip-off will take place in the Regents Center at 2:00 p.m.
