The Augsburg College Fall Invitational is complete and Luther finished in a three-way tie for eighth place from the field of 18 teams. The 36-hole tournament was played at Majestic Oaks Golf Club, Ham Lake, Minn.
Luther shot rounds of 307 and 305 for a two-day total of 612. University of St. Thomas won the team title shooting 287-298-585. Bethel University was second (589), UW-Eau Claire was third (592) and Nebraska Wesleyan University (597) was tied for fourth with Concordia-Moorhead (597).
Individually, Joe Fewer and Ben Phipps both posted top-10 finishes. Fewer carded rounds of 75-69-144 and finished alone in fourth place. Phipps shot rounds of 73-74-147 and finished in a four-way tie for tenth. There were 102 golfers that completed the 36-hole tournament.
Completing Luther's top-five included Spencer Horst (T71, 81-80-161), JP Knutson (T71, 78-83-161) and Ben Meyer (T81, 81-82-163).
Carson Hagen played as in individual and finished tied for 88th (84-82-166).
