Luther improved to 2-0 this afternoon thanks to a 2-0 road victory over the University of Wisconsin-Superior. The Norse scored a goal in each half, both by Tristan Davenport.
In the first half, Davenport found the back of the Yellowjackets net on a corner kick at 12:59. In the 76th minute of the second frame, Davenport scored off a cross from Teo Jube. His two goals were his fourth and fifth of his career.
Defensively, Luther held UW-Superior to just four shots, none of them on goal. Carson Davenport was credited with the shut out, his first of the year.
On the flip side, Luther was credited with 11 total shots and five on goal.
Luther will begin its home schedule on Wednesday, Sept. 5, when it will host St. Olaf College at 7:30 p.m.
