Luther improved to 2-1 following a 68-49 victory over Webster University (WI) at the Snyder Classic hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan University. Trailing 5-4 four minutes into the first half, the Norse put together a 32-17 run, ending the half with a 36-22 advantage. The closest Webster got to the Norse in the second frame was nine points with 17 minutes left in the game.
Dane Larson and Michael Crocker paced the Norse offensive attack with 13 points each. John Androus finished one point shy with nine.
Luther dominated the boards out rebounding Webster 41-29. The Norse also held Webster to 40 percent from the field, including a 3-for-12 performance from behind the three-point line.
Luther will wrap up its trip to Lincoln, Neb. with a game against Concordia-Moorhead tomorrow. Tip-off is slated for 6:30 p.m.
