This two-day workshop is intended for faculty in their early years at Luther, or experienced faculty who will be advising first-year students.
This workshop provides an orientation for faculty who have committed to be advisors for first-year students during the upcoming summer orientation and fall semester. Topics include a general overview of the graduation requirements; specific details from pre-professional programs that special attention during summer registration; using the summer registration session to help students create a strong schedule; and discussion on strategies to help students make a successful transition from high school to Luther. Selected readings and up-to-date materials for advising will be provided. Enrollment was determined by advising form filled out in the spring.
