We invite you to hear the Luther Ringers of Luther College perform in concert on Saturday, May 3 at 4 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 6101 University Avenue in Madison. This concert will be in conjunction with The Madison Area Concert Handbells. Each choir will present selections from their spring concert programs, followed by two pieces in collaboration. A freewill offering will be taken.
The Madison Area Concert Handbells, now in its 17th year, rings over six octaves of handbells and seven octaves of handchimes, thought to be the largest assemblage of such instruments in the state of Wisconsin. MACH's ringers share over 250 years of collective experience, and are under the direction of Mr. Brad Schultz.
The Luther Ringers are an auditioned ensemble of 13 ringers conducted by Dr. Gregory Peterson, who also serves as chair of the Music Department and College Organist. In addition to chapel and community performances, the Ringers prepare a solo concert each spring and take part in the annual Christmas at Luther concerts each December.
