Luther was 1:50 away from capturing the Bethel University Perkins Tip-Off Tournament title, but lost a heart breaker 64-63.

Trailing the Norse by nine (61-52), the Royals put together a 12-2 run capped off by a Brycen Wojta jumper with two seconds remaining, to secure the come-from-behind victory.

Ten different players scored for the Norse led by John Androus with 15 points. Bradley Wilkins and Cale Austin both had seven. Kyle Rosacker, Jake Martin, Brian Nnaoji and Nathan Meyer were all credited with six. 

Luther won the battle of the boards 40-31, but was outscored 28-14 in the paint. Bethel also had a five-point advantage from the free throw line.

The loss was the first of the season for the Norse who are now 2-1. This Monday, Luther will return to action and will host UW-Stout at 7:00 p.m.
