Luther improved to 12-6 in Iowa Conference play after defeating Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska 6-1 this afternoon. The victory also gives Luther an overall record of 22-10.
The Norse pounded out 13 hits and scored twice in both the first and third innings and add a run in both the eighth and ninth innings.
Multiple hits were produced by Jake Vogt (2-4), Jake Halverson (2-5), Mitch Bruggers (3-5) and Derek McCready (2-4). McCready was credited with two RBI, while Vogt, Halverson, Bruggers and Joe Mckibben all drove in one run.
Joey Caradamon had another solid outing. Cardamon allowed one run on three hits, walked two and struck out four in eight innings of work. He is now 8-0 for the year.
These two teams will wrap up the three-game series tomorrow. The first game of the double header will begin at Noon.
