Luther's three-game win streak came to an end this afternoon at Page Arena on the campus of UW-River Falls. The Falcons defeated the Norse 68-47 and improved to 5-2. Luther was ice cold shooting 27.9 percent (17-61).The Norse scored 10 points in each of the first three quarters and 17 in the final frame.
Claire Marburger was the lone Norse to tally double digits. Marburger scored a game high 19 points and also led the team with eight rebounds. Katie Waller was next with nine, followed by Madison Spence with six.
Three Falcons produced double figures led by Brynn Liljander with 17. She was followed by Crystal Pearson with 15 and Taylor Karge with 10.
The loss levels Luther's overall record to 5-5.
Luther will return to action following finals this week. The Norse will travel to Mount Mercy University, Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Thursday, Dec. 14. Start time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
