Luther dropped its second game in a row, a 117-66 loss to Nebraska Wesleyan University this afternoon in Lincoln, Neb.
The Prairie Wolves shot extremely well connecting on nearly 53 percent of their attempts from the field and 84 percent from the free throw line. They also won the battle of the boards 48-27.
Luther was led by James Kappus with 13 points and Spencer Sturges with 11 off the bench. Jared Nicolaisen was next with seven.
All five of Nebraska Wesleyan's starters tallied double digits led by Deion Wells-Ross who scored a game high 18.
The loss gives Luther a record of 0-5 in the Iowa Conference, while Nebraska Wesleyan improved to 3-1.
Luther returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 10 when it will travel to nationally ranked No. 18 Wartburg College. Game time is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
