Fifteen teams participated in the 36-hole D3 Classic hosted by Carleton College Sept. 13-14. The field of 86 golfers played on The Jewell Golf Club, Lake City, Minn., a par 72 that measured 5,815 yards.
Host Carleton won the team title carding a 628. University of St. Thomas was second at 638, followed by College of St. Benedict one stroke back at 639. Luther finished ninth with a two-day total of 697.
Individually, Madeline Petellin led the Norse with a 165 finishing in a three-way tie for 22nd. Lexi Graf (178 - t44th), Meggie Acker (180 - t52nd), Samantha Kraft (180 - t52nd) and Hannah Hagarty (182 - t55th) completed the Norse five. Keeley Todd played as an individual and shot 197 good for a tie for 78th.
On deck, Luther will host its own two-day tournament Friday and Saturday, Sept. 19-20 at Oneota Golf and Country Club. This will be the final warm-up before the first two rounds of the Iowa Conference Championships begin Sept. 26-27.
