Luther traveled to St. Paul, Minnesota and the University of St. Thomas for the season opener. No team scores were kept for the St. Thomas Relays. The majority of the relays were unconventional not only in the format but also in the distances.
Luther divers Megan Broadbent (204.05) and Elizabeth Bonin (168.85) placed second and ninth respectively in the one-meter competition that had 20 divers in the field. In the three-meter competition, Broadbent (193.95) placed fifth and Bonin (186.25) was eighth from the field of 15.
In the swimming competition, the three-some of Kelly Cherrier, Pilar Dritz and Sam Kraft posted the top finish of the afternoon in the 1100 Animal Relay. This group placed third with a time of (13:11.36).

Luther will begin its home schedule on Saturday, Oct. 28. The Norse will host UW-Eau Claire with a start time of 1:00 p.m.
