Sponsored by Dean's Office
This will be a two day interactive workshop that will help participants discover tools that will enhance personal growth and professional effectiveness. It is based upon the assumption that the best teaching arises from inner work that can be nurtured. Participants will learn more about their own teaching temperaments and the values they bring to the classroom. They will practice listening and other skills to enhance their teaching. In addition, they will be introduced to Appreciative Inquiry a method that fosters growth in individuals and institutions. All participants will be provided a copy of Mary Jorgensen’s SAGE program for catalyzing individual well-being and will be sent a workshop schedule a week before the workshop.
Faculty Sponsor: Paul Gardner (Professor of Political Science)
Facilitator: Mary Jorgensen (MA in Educational Psychology, 27 year high school and college teaching career, professional life and wellness coach)
Participants will receive a $100 stipend for participation in both days of this workshop.
