Faculty Research Symposium

Duration: 8 hours, 30 minutes

Date:Saturday, November 2, 2013
Time:9:00 am
Location:Valders Hall of Science, Room 206 and
F.W. Olin Building, Room 102

The first annual Faculty Research Symposium on Luther College's campus will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013. The symposium will begin at 9am in Valders 206 and panels will continue throughout the day in both Valders 206 and Olin 102. The event is free and open to the public.

Intended for a broad audience, this all-day event will showcase the intellectual curiosity and cross-disciplinary dialogue that is at the heart of Luther's liberal arts educational tradition. Modeled on the successful Undergraduate Research Symposium held each spring, the Faculty Research Symposium seeks to provide a forum for Luther faculty to share and discuss their research, projects and passions with the broader Decorah community as well as with Luther students, faculty, and staff. Each panel is composed of presentations from multiple disciplines, covering a range of ideas and questions: from worms to avalanches, Chopin to Shakespeare, this event has it all!
