Four pool records were set at the second annual Luther Sprint Invitational. No team scores were kept for this event.
Kayley Alioto of UW-La Crosse set a new pool record in one-meter diving (11 dives) posting a mark of 443.45. She broke the old mark of 417.30 held by Luther's Zoe Johnson set Jan. 11, 2014.
In three-meter competition (11 dives), Jordan Anderson of UW-La Crosse set a new pool record of 474.45. She broke Johnson's old mark of 406.75 set Jan. 11, 2014.
Clare Slagel posted three individual first place finishes. She won the 50 backstroke (26.98) and set new pool records in the 200 freestyle (1:56.83) and 100 backstroke (57.50). Slagel held all three pool records entering today's meet. He pool record in the 50 backstroke is :26.74.
Also posting first place finishes this afternoon Leah Barkema in the 50 freestyle (25.27), Sofie Wallock in the 1000 freestyle (11:16.55), Lexi Scharmer in the 100 fly (1:01.48) and Sam Kraft in the 500 freestyle (5:22.97).
The 200 freestyle relay team of Barkema, Slagel, Katie Storey and Kraft ended the afternoon with a first place finishing time of 1:42.40.
Luther will return to action Jan. 16-17 when they will compete at the Grinnell College Invitational.
