On Friday October 12, 2018, Emily Anderson, Isabel Lockheimer-Toso, and Elizabeth Berg had a great presentation at the ICTE conference in Des Moines. They presented on "Achieving Social Justice through the Teaching of Preferred Pronouns" and the description was "This session explores the way in which the traditional use of pronouns hinders inclusivity in today's classrooms. How can we adapt our pedagogy to validate the uniqueness of each individual student? Attendees will learn techniques for teaching pronoun and antecedent agreement in a way that challenges social constructions and assumptions that negatively impact students.”
