Based on his book project, Dr. Orçun Selçuk will present "Polarizing Populism in Latin America" on Tuesday, November 16 at 6:00pm in the CFL Recital Hall. With a particular focus on the Venezuelan and Ecuadorian experience, Dr. Selçuk explores the ways populist leaders undermine democracy by polarizing the political environment between their supporters and opponents, not only in Latin America but in Europe, the United States, and the rest of the world.
