Camp begins on June 29 (with check in from 2-3:30 p.m. and an opening performance by participants in the Movement Fundamentals Coalescence at 5 p.m.) and continues through July 3 (with closing performance at 4:00 p.m. and checkout at 5:30 p.m.)
Campers live in a comfortable, air-conditioned residence hall on the Luther campus and eat in the Dahl Centennial Union dining hall. College dance students serve as camp counselors to provide full supervision and help assist all camp activities. Medical services for campers are available through local clinics, as well as the emergency room at the Winneshiek Medical Center. Individual campers are responsible for any medication, and hospital and physician fees.
Campers will be chaperoned around the clock by college dance students and stay in Luther campus residence halls. Classes will be held in the Center for the Arts, a state-of-the-art facility for performance training. Campers will learn from experienced dance professionals and educators and experience a variety of camp activities that will enrich artistic, creative, and collaborative skills in a positive, fun, and encouraging environment.
The camp will have a ratio of eight campers to one counselor allowing for individual attention.
