COVID safety requirements for graduates

COVID tests are required for graduates participating in Commencement in person, except for individuals who have been fully vaccinated or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 90 days. The Student Health Service and the Student Life Office are maintaining a list of seniors participating in the Commencement ceremony and how they are fulfilling the safety requirements for participation. This list will be finalized at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 14. Students who have not fulfilled the safety requirements will not be permitted to participate in the ceremony.

Vaccination requirement: If you have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine or the second dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines by May 1, please bring a copy of your vaccination card to the Student Health Service or email a copy of your vaccination card to the Student Health Service at [email protected]. If you email a copy of your vaccination card, please obscure your date of birth. Copies of the vaccination card will be added to your student medical record.

COVID test requirement: There are two testing opportunities on campus.

  • Hy-Vee PCR test on Monday, May 10 (3-5 p.m.) in the SRC in the Regents Center. No appointments are required, but all individuals must register by 12 p.m. on Sunday, May 9 using this portal. After registering, print your testing voucher and bring it with you to the SRC. After you receive your test results by email, forward your test results to [email protected]
  • Rapid antigen test on Tuesday, May 11 through Friday, May 14 at the EAST testing center on campus. The EAST testing center will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 10 through Wednesday, May 12, and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 13 and Friday, May 14. You must schedule an appointment in advance.
