Climate Justice Week: April 29-May 3, 2019

This year, Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, is celebrating “Climate Justice Week” (April 29-May 3, 2019), with a series of events exploring various climate-related issues.

Events include:

  • a public lecture by a team of Luther professors and students who will discuss their research on the quality of water in Winneshiek County
  • the Roslien lecture by world famous climate scientist, Jim Hansen
  • a concert by hip-hop artist and Earth Guardian activist, Xiuhtezcatl Martinez
  • a partnership with our friends at Decorah Middle School and the ELCA charity, Water to Thrive, to raise money to build a well in Tanzania in a community with which Luther has had a close relationship for over two decades.
