Spring 2018

Dear Classmate,

Winter 2018. Super Bowl VII. Winter Olympics. We have witnessed various host cities putting forth their best effort to welcome visitors, competitors, and vendors into their “home” city, state, or country. The hometown people have extended their warmth through welcomings at the airport, downtown locations, sports venues, and even their personal homes. We have also witnessed competitors embrace each other after a game, match or event as they know everyone competing was doing their best, having trained just as hard as the next person, and having made personal sacrifices to get to the game. As fierce as the games are, the most memorable moments sometimes are those when we witness the winners crouched on the sidelines cheering on their competitors to cross the finish line as they want to see everyone make it. Talk about team spirit and competitive camaraderie!
