Class of 1979 Spring 2016 Letter

And so…I’ve been channeling my “inner bear” these days – considering that hibernation might be the best response to the political pandemonium of the Iowa caucus season, as well as to Mother Nature’s insistence that the words snow(ier) and cold(er) need to be incorporated into the weather forecast. The allure of a long winter’s nap has been growing stronger with each additional day, but I am saved from an extended slumber when I recall the words of our classmate, Ann (Wise) Mansfield, who was the guest speaker for the Luther College Woman’s Club program in January. The focus of her presentation: the importance of movement.
