Class of 1967 Spring 2018 Letter

Spring 2018

Hey Luther Classmate!

When I wrote last, it was just a couple of weeks after our 50-year reunion, and many of us were still basking in the warmth of that weekend spent on campus, renewing friendships and remembering.

It’s almost spring as I write this and I still find myself thinking back to the joys of last October. It was so much fun reliving a few moments from the past.

The Class of ’67 Scholarship, initiated as part of our reunion planning, has reached viability, and soon distributions from the fund will be made to worthy students. This is great news, as we can directly support a Luther student through this permanent scholarship fund.

If you have not yet made a contribution to the scholarship fund, or in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Class of ’67, donations made through the end of May will be counted in our official total. You can make a gift today by using the attached form and the reusable envelope or by visiting Thank you for your consideration.

The changes in tax law have left significant questions regarding the future of charitable giving by many individuals, and non-profits like Luther that depend on it are rightly concerned that giving will be affected negatively. Please do what you can to help Luther thrive in these challenging times. Luther needs your support now more than ever until the political winds settle.

If you are a Facebook user, keep in touch by joining the group “Luther Class of ’67,” and suggest membership in the group to your LC ’67 contacts.  If I can be of service to you in my capacity as class agent, I can be reached on Facebook at art46j, by email at [email protected], or at my home phone 563-928-6914.

Best Wishes, and Go Norse!!
