President of the Brave New Workshop Entertainment Company
Earl Mollerud is a 1983 graduate of Luther College with a BA in Business Management. In 1992, he co-founded a retail hair care concept named Kids’ Hair with his wife Suzanne. They grew the business over the next 18 years to 14 locations in 3 markets including Minneapolis, St. Cloud, and Chicago. The concept also included Kids’ Hair On-Site, a service that delivered haircuts to 32 daycare centers.
Earl raised a total of $3.65 million in private equity from 41 investors to finance the company’s growth and served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors. They developed unique training, management systems and a culture for 150 employees in multiple locations. This allowed them to successfully deliver a consistent customer service experience that included “a quality haircut, on a moving target, in 15 minutes or less”, to over 20,000 customers a month. In 2010, Earl and Suzanne left the company, selling to their largest investor.
Since 2014, Earl has been President of the Brave New Workshop Entertainment Company. The BNW Entertainment Company is a multifaceted business that includes the country’s oldest sketch comedy theatre and corporate services (including video production, event hosting, emcee and custom entertainment services) for Fortune 500 companies nationwide.
Earl also facilitates a group for Inner Circle International, which runs peer groups, exclusively for entrepreneurs and business owners. Earl’s group guides entrepreneurs with early stage businesses.
Earl and his wife Suzanne have 3 sons and live in Minneapolis, MN.
