Luther College seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor of Biology, with expertise in anatomy. This is a full-time, non-tenure track appointment for the 2019-20 academic year beginning late August 2019, renewable for up to three years (2019-2022). Ph.D. or M.S. required; teaching experience preferred. Expertise in anatomy is essential. The successful applicant will demonstrate potential for excellence in college teaching and a commitment to the liberal arts.
Primary teaching responsibilities include introductory human anatomy course primarily for nursing majors and introductory Principles of Biology II course (cells and molecules). Possible opportunity to teach upper-level human anatomy with cadaver dissection course, non-majors course, or other course based on expertise. Teaching load is spread over the fall, January, and spring terms.
